Daegu Urban Development Corporation (President Jung Myungseop) carried out support activities together with the 'Hometown Village Recovery Daegu Public Officials Support Group' for five days from May 12 to May 16, to help restore areas in North Gyeongsang Province affected by forest fires.
The Hometown Village Recovery Daegu Public Officials Support Group is an organization formed to enable the swift recovery of North Gyeongsang Province following the large-scale forest fires that occurred in March. It is composed of public officials from Daegu City Hall and district offices who have ties to the North Gyeongsang region. In response to requests from affected areas, these officials are dispatched to the sites, where they are responsible for administrative support and volunteer activities related to disaster recovery and restoration.
Daegu Urban Development Corporation employees are organizing relief supplies for disaster victims at the Cheongsong National Sports Center, which was damaged by a forest fire.
Daegu Urban Development Corporation also established its own support plan and engaged in volunteer activities such as managing relief supplies at the Cheongsong National Sports Center. In addition, on May 7, the corporation visited the Administrative Welfare Center in Imha-myeon, Andong City to provide administrative support for wildfire damage assessment, thereby offering practical assistance to sites facing shortages of recovery personnel.
Jung Myungseop, President of Daegu Urban Development Corporation, stated, "I hope that these activities have contributed, even in a small way, to the recovery from forest fire damage and the restoration of daily life for residents." He added, "As a local public enterprise, we will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities in the event of disasters and actively provide practical, field-oriented support."
