Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmoon) announced on May 19 that it recently conducted a special facility safety inspection to proactively prepare for natural disasters such as heavy rain and strong winds in advance of the summer season.
During this inspection, the corporation carried out intensive preventive activities focused on on-site facilities, including checking the management of rainwater inflow prevention supplies for underground stations in preparation for localized heavy downpours, verifying the operation of high-capacity engine pumps, and assessing the management status of objects at risk of falling due to strong winds.
The corporation has designated the period until October as the summer intensive safety inspection period and plans to establish field-specific inspection plans to prepare for various disaster situations, making active efforts to provide safe and convenient transportation services.
Cho Ikmoon stated, "We are always conducting proactive preventive activities to prepare for unexpected and extraordinary situations," and added, "We will continue to do our utmost to ensure the safety and convenience of our citizens."
