On May 19, SK Ecoplant announced that it is conducting a "Campaign for Preventing Falls at Construction Sites and Spreading a Culture of Safety" in accordance with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's measures to prevent fall accidents at construction sites.

This campaign is being held throughout the month, from May 1 to May 31, with participation from the company's executives, including SK Ecoplant President Kim Hyeonggeun. It was organized as part of the Ministry's preventive measures to reduce fall accidents, which have accounted for more than half of fatal accidents at construction sites over the past five years.

SK Ecoplant is making multifaceted efforts to raise awareness of safety and to identify and prevent risk factors in advance.

First, the company has installed banners and signs to prevent fall-related accidents in work areas with a high risk of falls and safety accidents at all its domestic sites. In addition, SK Ecoplant is conducting inspections on ▲fall risk factors, ▲the status of safety facility installations, ▲the provision and use of personal protective equipment, and ▲other on-site safety management items. The company is also providing video training on fall prevention during the pre-work daily safety education (TBM) for site workers.

In addition, since 2021, SK Ecoplant has been managing safety and accident prevention activities at construction sites through its self-developed digital safety and health solution, the "Ansim (Sincere About Safety)" application. This service is currently provided at over 100 sites operated by 25 companies, including SK Ecoplant, with approximately 24,000 people participating daily in accident prevention and safety management activities through Ansim.

Previously, on May 16, Jaeuk Lim, Chief Safety Officer (CSO) of SK Ecoplant, visited the Gwangmyeong Xi Hillstate SK View construction site in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province, to inspect the site's safety management conditions and to emphasize compliance with fall prevention activities.

Jaeuk Lim, CSO of SK Ecoplant, stated, "SK Ecoplant is promoting on-site inspections and safety activities for accident prevention at construction sites, led by our management. Moving forward, we will continue to lead the way in proactively introducing safety management technologies and establishing a culture of safe construction environments."
