This event, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Busan FTA Trade Promotion Center, was designed to enhance the capacity of local companies to utilize FTAs and to support the development of effective trade response strategies amid the changing global trade environment, such as the strengthening of protectionism in the United States.

The briefing session broadly introduced the latest trade issues and support systems that provide practical help to small and medium-sized enterprises. The topics included changes in trade policy in the 'Trump 2.0 era,' strategies for responding to the diversification of global supply chains, and trade export support programs.

In addition, a 1:1 export and import consultation session was held concurrently with the event, where experts provided consultations on export and import customs clearance, origin management, and export challenges. Major export support organizations in the region also participated to provide practical, customized support.

An official from the Busan FTA Trade Promotion Center stated, "With the growing uncertainty in the export environment due to the strengthening of protectionism and the reorganization of global supply chains, we hope this briefing session will provide local companies with the information they need and offer practical help in establishing their strategies."

The Busan FTA Trade Promotion Center operates a variety of FTA utilization support programs throughout the year, including OK FTA consulting, specialized training, and briefing sessions. The center plans to continue providing tailored services to strengthen the global competitiveness of small and medium-sized export and import companies in the Busan area.
