Democratic Party Releases Photos Alleging Judge Ji Guiyeon's Room Salon Visit

Noh Jongmyeon: "The owner and the interior are the same"
Ji Guiyeon: "I usually spend my time eating pork belly and drinking soju"

On the 19th, the Democratic Party of Korea released photos related to allegations that Ji Guiyeon, Chief Judge of the Seoul Central District Court, entered a room salon.

Noh Jongmyeon, head of the Democratic Party's campaign committee for ending treason and spokesperson for the election committee, held a press conference at the Democratic Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, that afternoon. He revealed the photos, stating that they support the claim that Judge Ji entered a room salon.

Noh presented interior photos of what he claimed to be a room salon, as well as photos of Judge Ji taken with acquaintances. He said, "After the Democratic Party directly checked the establishment, it was confirmed to be a high-end room salon in Gangnam, Seoul. Only the signboard has changed compared to before; the owner and the interior remain the same."

Noh addressed Judge Ji, stating, "Have you truly never been to such a place? The Democratic Party has already shown photos of the room salon you personally entered." He continued, "Have you really never even considered being entertained there? The Democratic Party has directly verified the establishment. It was a high-end room salon in Gangnam, Seoul." Noh further claimed, "Female employees were present at every room and table. Only the signboard has changed; the owner and the interior are the same."

Democratic Party Releases Photos Alleging Judge Ji Guiyeon's Room Salon Visit On the 19th, Roh Jongmyeon, spokesperson for the Democratic Party's election campaign committee, raised allegations of 'room salon entertainment' against Ji Guiyeon, chief judge of the Seoul Central District Court, at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, and disclosed related photos. The Democratic Party's central election campaign committee stated that "Chief Judge Ji denied entering the room salon in connection with the entertainment allegations" and "decided to release the photos related to this matter." Noh stated, "The expectation that 'Judge Ji Guiyeon would admit the facts and step down from the bench himself' or that 'the judiciary would correct the issue on its own' has been shattered. Therefore, we are compelled to disclose these photos to the public."

He added, "We ask the public to see for themselves. Please compare the previously released photos from the room salon with the newly released photos clearly showing Judge Ji. The interior patterns and props are identical."

Noh also criticized, "Is it even conceivable that Judge Ji is presiding over a treason case that determines the fate of democracy in the Republic of Korea?"

He said, "We will actively consider filing a complaint with the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials. Since we cannot expect an admission or remorse from Judge Ji, we have no choice but to seek accountability through an investigation." He added, "Separately, we will continue to monitor whether the judiciary makes efforts to correct itself."

Meanwhile, earlier that day, Judge Ji denied the allegations, stating, "I usually spend my time eating pork belly and drinking somaek. The allegations raised are not true," rejecting the claims made by the Democratic Party.
