On the 20th, Gwangju and Jeonnam will experience early summer heat, with daytime temperatures rising up to 30 degrees Celsius.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, the region will come under the influence of the edge of a high-pressure system moving eastward over the seas near Jeju Island. Morning lows are expected to range from 17 to 20 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will reach between 23 and 30 degrees Celsius.
Waves in both the West Sea and South Sea coastal waters are expected to reach up to 1 meter. Fine particulate matter (PM2.5) levels are forecasted to remain at a 'moderate' level.
An official from the Meteorological Administration stated, "Strong winds with instantaneous speeds of around 55 km/h (15 m/s) may occur along the west coast of Jeonnam during the early morning hours, so please pay attention to facility management and safety accidents."
