On Facebook that day, Kwon said, "It is reported that there have been as many as 572 industrial accidents at SPC over the past four years. How many more people must die, and how many more bereaved families must there be before this factory of death changes?"
Kwon continued, "We can no longer turn a blind eye. I urge the Ministry of Employment and Labor to thoroughly investigate whether this incident constitutes a violation of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act. The responsibility of the business owner must be made absolutely clear, and I call for strict punishment in accordance with the law."
Kwon also stated, "I will make sure to create a country where workers do not die on the job and where the Serious Accidents Punishment Act is enforced as intended by law."
