Gwangju Seo-gu Family Center Holds Meeting for Childcare Providers

Education on Age-Specific and Situation-Based Response Methods
Provision of One-on-One Customized Childcare Services

The Gwangju Seo-gu Family Center (Director: Yoon Hyekyung) held a meeting on the 19th at the Work-Family Balance Support Center multipurpose room, attended by around 100 childcare providers from Seo-gu.


This meeting focused on preventive education regarding safety accidents that may occur during the provision of childcare services, as well as guidance on how to respond to various situations based on the age-specific characteristics of infants and children. There was also time set aside for sharing real-life experiences encountered during their work, aimed at enhancing practical capabilities.

One childcare provider who participated in the training said, "Unexpected situations often arise in the field, so receiving regular, case-based training like this is extremely helpful," and added, "It reminded me once again that my role is directly connected to the stability of a family."


Currently, a total of 209 childcare providers in Seo-gu are delivering one-on-one customized care services to 394 households and 601 children.


Yoon Hyekyung, Director of the Seo-gu Family Center, stated, "Childcare providers are valuable agents in creating a safe care ecosystem in the community," and added, "We will continue to improve the quality of childcare services and support the healthy growth of children through a flexible and professional support system."


Kim Ikang, head of Seo-gu Office, said, "The warm support of childcare providers is a great source of strength for children and families in the community," and emphasized, "Seo-gu will do its utmost to create a reliable care environment so that our community truly lives up to its reputation as a 'Kind City,' making it a place where giving birth to and raising children is a source of joy."
