The county advanced its major executive meeting, originally scheduled for the 26th, to the 19th. At this meeting, the heads of 42 departments and township offices were asked to concentrate their efforts on promoting voter participation among county residents.
The main agenda of the meeting included promoting presidential election voting participation to residents during township leader meetings and various other gatherings. Additionally, to ensure that residents can easily access election information at home, the county will broadcast information about early voting and election day voting in the villages both in the morning and afternoon.
Furthermore, County Governor Kwon Ikhyeon personally led a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of voting by holding a signboard displaying the early voting and election day schedules. The county is also actively promoting election-related information through the Buan County Office website and its social media channels.
Governor Kwon stated, "Each resident's precious vote is a crucial decision that can change not only Buan but also the future of the Republic of Korea," and urged, "Please participate in voting so that Buan County's voter turnout can become the highest not only in North Jeolla Province but across the entire country."
Meanwhile, early voting for this presidential election will be held nationwide at early voting stations in each township and neighborhood on May 29 and 30 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The main voting will take place at designated polling stations on June 3 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The county plans to continue encouraging active voter participation among residents through ongoing online and offline promotional activities until election day.
