Online Sales Reach 145.6 Billion Won, Offline 34.3 Billion Won
Onnuri and Local Love Gift Certificate Sales Exceed 130 Billion Won
Nationwide Consumption Promotion Through Opening Exhibitions and Special Events
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 19th that the "May Donghaeng Festival" recorded 179.9 billion won in sales over 14 days, marking the halfway point of the event.
By channel, online sales?including open markets, TV home shopping, and traditional market malls?reached 145.6 billion won, while offline sales?including local sales events and department stores?amounted to 34.3 billion won. In addition, 116.5 billion won worth of Onnuri gift certificates and 20.4 billion won worth of Local Love gift certificates were sold, contributing to increased sales for small business owners and traditional markets.
Including the special opening exhibitions held simultaneously in four regions?Sejong, Incheon, Chuncheon, and Naju?sales events held across the country over the 14-day period saw the participation of 824 small businesses, achieving on-site sales of 2.5 billion won and spreading a nationwide atmosphere of consumption promotion.

Across all online and offline channels during the 14 days, the top-selling product was the summer T-shirt from "10gat," which recorded sales of 200 million won. Companies such as Wonang FNB and Yeongju Masil Food & Health saw their sales more than double compared to the previous month, demonstrating their competitiveness and enjoying a sales boom through the Donghaeng Festival.
Starting with this May Donghaeng Festival, the Ministry has introduced a feature on its official website that allows users to purchase products from the "Donghaeng 300 Selection," focusing on boosting online sales, which account for more than 80% of direct sales. The Ministry plans to strengthen follow-up support, including continuous performance management, for top-selling products.
The May Donghaeng Festival will continue until the 30th. The event aims to sustain consumer enthusiasm through a variety of regionally themed activities in connection with online and department store promotions, as well as local events such as the Incheon Hyundai Market Customer Festival, Daejeon Munchang Night Market Festival, Busan Shinsegae Department Store Daldal Store, Gangchon Forest Bread Market Festival, and the Gyeongnam Small Business Owners Sales Exhibition.
The digital Onnuri gift certificate prize draw, which provides tangible benefits to consumers, traditional markets, and small business owners, will run until the 30th. An event that refunds 10% of the cumulative weekly payment amount has also been underway since the 11th.
Additionally, events such as offering prizes for adding the "Donghaeng Festival" KakaoTalk channel and providing digital Onnuri gift certificates for submitting reviews of public delivery app usage will continue until the last day of the festival.
