On May 16, through his YouTube channel, Jeon stated, "I did not quit teaching at the academy because I wanted to; I was fired."

Jeon claimed, "The opposing side pressured my company to fire me," and added, "On Naver Cafe, they incited students by posting messages like 'Fire Han Gil Jeon' and 'How can someone like this teach Korean history?'"

He continued, "I said the contract was terminated by mutual agreement because I didn't want to hurt the company, but isn't it true that I was fired?"

Jeon also revealed that his YouTube channel is currently unable to generate revenue. He said, "I'm running Han Gil Jeon News (YouTube) just to pay my staff, but since Super Chat (donations) is unavailable, I'm accepting voluntary subscription fees instead," and added, "They say you can make tens of millions of won through Super Chat, but Google doesn't approve it at all." He then disclosed a response from Google stating, "Super Chat is not permitted because the channel does not comply with YouTube Community Guidelines."

Jeon questioned, "What is it that we have not complied with?" and continued, "Is this normal? Is there freedom of democracy and freedom of the press in South Korea? I will use my broadcasts to reveal how much the left-wing cartel is restricting me."

Jeon came under public attention for defending former President Yoon during the impeachment crisis following the 12·3 Martial Law. He referred to martial law as "enlightenment order" and raised allegations of election fraud through his YouTube channel and other platforms.

Recently, Jeon terminated his exclusive contract with his agency, Mega Gongmuwon, and left the podium. On May 14, through his fan cafe, he stated, "Since there were many people criticizing and protesting against our cafe and company, the company naturally felt a lot of pressure," and added, "I also didn't want to burden the company, so we mutually agreed to end my teaching contract this past February."
