Bong Geonwoo, head of the Central Election Committee's University Student Headquarters, emphasized, "Honam is a representative region suffering from the crisis of regional extinction and is under threat due to the unilateral university merger policy of the Ministry of Education," adding, "Balanced regional development and the transformation of local universities into specialized institutions are necessary."

Kim Yongjun, head of the Gwangju City Party's 2030 Headquarters, stated, "If the region cannot offer a future to young people, they have no choice but to leave," and stressed the need to establish a foundation for youth to settle in the region through the Honam-type mega-city initiative, building youth-specialized job platforms, attracting companies in the AI, digital, and cultural content sectors, and expanding startup support funds.

Park Junpil, vice-chair of the Gwangju City Party University Student Committee, proposed, "To expand youth political participation and strengthen representation, it is necessary to expand the youth proportional representation system, mandate that 30% of local election nominations go to young people, and establish a permanent youth policy committee."

Lee Jeongchan, chair of the Jeonbuk Provincial Party University Student Committee, stressed, "The decline of regional universities and the outflow of young people is a national crisis leading to regional extinction," and emphasized the need to enact the Higher Education Financial Grant Act, activate support systems for the resident population, and expand opportunities for youth participation in local programs."
