EY Han Young to Host "Accounting Competency Enhancement Seminar for BuuLKyung Companies" with Korea Exchange

Global accounting and consulting firm EY Han Young announced on May 19 that it will co-host the "Accounting Competency Enhancement Seminar for Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (BuuLKyung) Companies" with the Korea Exchange SME Accounting Support Center on May 29.

This seminar will be held in the main conference room of the Korea Exchange's Busan headquarters, located on the 62nd floor of the Busan International Finance Center (BIFC). It is targeted at employees and executives in the finance and accounting departments of listed companies based in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam. Experts from EY Han Young specializing in audit, strategy and financial advisory, and consulting will participate as speakers, offering practical insights to help companies respond to the latest changes in accounting standards and industrial structure transformation.

In the first session, Jin Hyerim, Partner in Audit at EY Han Young, will explain the current status of the adoption of IFRS 18, one of the major recent changes in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and key considerations for companies during the preparation process. Next, Kang Dongho, Partner at EY Consulting, will give a lecture on "Data Assetization and Monetization," a strategy gaining attention for data-driven management. Shin Jungsoo, Partner in Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) at EY Han Young, will present ways to improve cost and profitability.

Afterwards, Kim Namhyung, Partner at EY-Parthenon, will present "BuuLKyung Rebuilding Finance Cases and Implications," focusing on business restructuring and financing cases of companies in the BuuLKyung region. Finally, Kang Mingyu, Partner in Audit at EY Han Young, will share regulatory trends and practical response strategies related to the internal accounting management system for 2025.

After the seminar, a networking session will be provided, offering participants the opportunity to share practical insights with each other.
