Overseas Voting for June 3 Presidential Election Begins on the 20th

Voting Begins at 182 Overseas Polling Stations on the 20th
Absentee and Shipboard Voting Start on the 24th and 26th, Respectively
Early Voting to Be Held on the 29th and 30th

The 21st presidential election will officially begin on the 20th, starting with voting at overseas polling stations.

On the 19th, the National Election Commission announced that voting at overseas polling stations will take place from the 20th to the 25th. The commission stated that elections related to overseas voting will be held at 182 diplomatic mission polling stations and 41 additional polling stations (39 locations with populations of over 30,000 and 2 at military deployment units). Voting hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.


Voting by absentee ballot and shipboard voting will begin on the 24th and 26th, respectively.


Early voting will be held for two days, from the 29th to the 30th, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. In accordance with the Public Official Election Act, which requires early voting for the 21st presidential election to be conducted for two days, five days before the election day, early voting will take place on Thursday and Friday instead of the weekend.
