Global Companies and Young Job Seekers to Meet... 'Global Talent Fair' Opens on the 19th

About 370 Global Companies to Participate This Year
Overseas Companies to Hold On-site Interviews and Consultations

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Employment and Labor will jointly host the '2025 Global Talent Fair' at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul from May 19 to May 20.

The Global Talent Fair is an event designed to match young people seeking employment at global companies with quality job opportunities. In 2023, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Employment and Labor integrated three previously separate job fairs into this event, which has since established itself as the largest global job fair in the country.

This year, approximately 370 companies will participate in the event. As in the previous year, more than 20,000 young job seekers are expected to attend. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Employment and Labor will operate three recruitment halls by sector: a Recruitment Hall for Foreign-Invested Companies, a Recruitment Hall for International Students, and a Recruitment Hall for Overseas Companies.

The Recruitment Hall for Foreign-Invested Companies is the largest, with about 150 companies including Bosch Group and Schaeffler Korea participating. Around 30 companies, such as Tesla and Boeing?whose parent companies were selected among the Fortune Global 500 last year?will meet job seekers in the newly established 'Global 500 Zone.' In the Tech Zone, about 70 companies in five advanced industries?semiconductors, secondary batteries, displays, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence (AI)?will participate.

In the Recruitment Hall for International Students, about 100 domestic companies, including Kia Motors, Samsung C&T, and Nexen, will take part. In the Recruitment Hall for Overseas Companies, a total of 65 companies from Japan (29 companies), North America (8 companies), and Europe (7 companies) will visit Korea to conduct on-site interviews and consultations. Additionally, 59 companies will participate online, providing remote consultations for young job seekers interested in overseas employment from May 21 to May 30.

At the opening ceremony, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Ahn Dukgeun emphasized to business leaders "the necessity of investing in securing outstanding talent, despite challenging domestic and international circumstances," and stated, "I hope this fair will serve as an opportunity for young people to expand into the wider world and as a platform for companies to meet exceptional talent."

Lee Junghan, Director-General at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, said, "In a situation where employment conditions have recently become difficult, global companies can provide a new breakthrough," and added, "The government will provide comprehensive support for young people throughout the entire process of finding overseas employment, adapting locally, and returning to Korea."
