The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization is moving beyond its traditional focus on inbound tourism markets centered on China, Japan, and Southeast Asia, and is now working to diversify the inbound tourism market to include regions such as the Americas, Europe, and Oceania.

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced on May 19 that, together with Gyeonggi Province and the Korea Tourism Organization, it hosted a fam tour from May 9 to May 16, inviting key travel industry officials from the Americas, Europe, and Oceania (Australia and New Zealand). The fam tour focused on tourism resources that are likely to appeal to local travelers from these regions.

A total of 19 major travel industry officials from eight countries participated in this fam tour, including the United States, Canada, and six countries in Europe and Oceania that are emerging as new markets.
