Everland to Create a Themed Space Based on the "One Piece" Universe

Large-Scale One Piece Themed Space to Open
Event to Be Held Together with Caribbean Bay Water Park
Experience Themed Zones, Merchandise, and More

Everland will unveil a themed space that brings the world of the animation "One Piece" to life.

On May 19, Samsung C&T Resort Division Everland announced that it plans to present a variety of customer experience content in collaboration with the globally popular intellectual property (IP) "One Piece" at the Water Festival summer event, which opens on June 20.

"One Piece," which tells the grand adventure story of Luffy, who dreams of becoming the Pirate King, and the Straw Hat Pirates, is an animation that enjoys popularity not only in Korea but also worldwide.

An Everland representative said, "Everland holds a water-themed festival every summer, and we planned this collaboration to offer customers a refreshing and unique experience by combining it with the 'One Piece' universe, which depicts a journey sailing across the vast ocean."

Everland plans to create a large-scale outdoor themed space, covering about 20,000 square meters in areas such as Four Seasons Garden and Alpine Village, where visitors can vividly experience the world of "One Piece" for the first time in Korea.

Additionally, themed zones, events, food, and merchandise dedicated to each Straw Hat Pirate character such as Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Chopper will be featured, offering immersive experiences that make guests feel as if they have stepped into the world of the manga.

In particular, the Alpine Village area, which operates as the Snow Buster sledding hill in winter, will be transformed for the summer festival into "Water Buster," a newly created playground themed after the One Piece Little Pirates.

Water Buster will offer a variety of content, including a splash slide, rail slide, and water playground, all integrated with the One Piece story so that the whole family can enjoy a cool experience together. This area will be unveiled ahead of the festival, starting from June 6, two weeks before the official opening.

At Caribbean Bay, located next to Everland, a variety of One Piece-themed zones, food streets, and music pool parties will also be introduced this summer, allowing guests to fully experience the One Piece universe at both the theme park and the water park.

This collaboration is part of Everland's strategy to strengthen partnerships with globally popular IPs, a strategy that has been reinforced since last year.

Everland has been integrating globally familiar IP universes such as Sanrio Characters (Japan), Moomin (Finland), Netflix's "All of Us Are Dead" (Korea), and "Stranger Things" (USA) into its vast infrastructure, providing fantastic content never experienced elsewhere at every festival.

The company is also continuously strengthening its own IP and character-based content, such as the professional baseball collaboration featuring the panda family "Bao Family" and the red panda character "Leshy & Friends," as well as new content like the fennec fox "Dona D. Logy," the main character of the new rose festival Everland Loroty.

The Everland summer festival "Water Festival," in collaboration with One Piece, will be held for 66 days from June 20 to August 24.
