K Bank Launches Exclusive Cards and Missions for Teenagers

Aiming to Secure Future Customers and Long-term Growth Momentum

K Bank announced on May 19 that it has launched financial services exclusively for teenagers aged 14 to 17, including the "Alpha (ALPHA) Card" and "Money Mission." The company explained that this move aims to expand its base of underage customers, who are expected to become its core clientele in the future, and to secure long-term growth momentum.

The Alpha Card is a prepaid electronic payment method designed for teenagers. It allows users to conveniently deposit, withdraw, transfer, and make payments without an ID, functioning similarly to a bank account or debit card. The card is available in four designs: Track, Aurora, Starfall, and Blue Origin. With a concept described as "more sophisticated than adults" and "beyond typical youth," the designs express the limitless potential of teenagers as an infinite universe.

To cater to teenagers who frequently use transportation cards, the Alpha Card supports easy transportation card recharging. Users can check their balance conveniently through the K Bank application, and recharge their transportation card anytime by simply tapping it on their smartphone.

Considering the trend-sensitive nature of teenagers, K Bank also offers benefits that can be enjoyed like a game. The "Collect Stars" promotion, running until August 31, provides a monthly discount of up to 5,000 won. Users earn a "star" each time they make a payment that is a multiple of three, and each star can be exchanged for discount coupons for popular brands such as Olive Young, Daiso, Mega Coffee, Musinsa, GS25, Baedal Minjok, and Ably at the "Star Exchange" within the K Bank app.

Additionally, K Bank has introduced the "Money Mission" service, which provides cash-withdrawable rewards when customers complete daily missions. The service incorporates achievement and collection elements, making it enjoyable like a game. Depending on the user's situation, between five and ten different missions are displayed each day and change daily.

When a mission is completed, a certain amount of reward is accumulated. Once users collect more than 3,000 won in rewards, they can withdraw the amount as cash through Alpha. Each time a withdrawal of more than 3,000 won is made, users can draw one of 12 different talismans featuring K Bank's characters, which can be collected and viewed like collectible items in a game.

A K Bank representative stated, "We aim to provide various benefits and fun so that digitally savvy and trend-sensitive teenage customers can take their first steps in financial life with K Bank," adding, "By expanding our touchpoints with teenage customers, we will further strengthen our future customer base."
