"Answering Needs"... Dongwon Group Unveils New Brand Slogan

Reflecting Dongwon's History and Growth Strategy
Developed Early Last Year, Core Values Identified

Dongwon Group has officially announced its new brand slogan, "The Responsible Answer," embarking on a brand renewal initiative.


On May 19, Dongwon stated, "While inheriting the identity of a group that has grown based on trust and credibility, we have newly established a brand philosophy that embodies change and challenge toward a sustainable future." The new slogan symbolizes Dongwon's commitment to providing answers to the diverse 'needs' of society and consumers.

Dongwon began developing the slogan early last year and, after a year of consumer research and focus group interviews, identified its core brand values. As a result, the message "The Responsible Answer" was ultimately chosen.


Founded in 1969 as a deep-sea fishing startup, Dongwon Group has, over the past 56 years, expanded its business areas to include Dongwon Industries (marine and fisheries), Dongwon F&B (comprehensive food), Dongwon Home Food (food ingredients), Dongwon Systems (packaging materials), and Dongwon Loex (logistics). Based on the simple sum of its affiliates, the group has grown into a comprehensive company with annual sales of approximately 10 trillion won. This history and growth strategy are reflected in the new slogan.


To promote the brand slogan, Dongwon Group will continue campaign activities such as TV commercials. Through its official YouTube channels, "Dongwon TV" and "Dongrami," the group also plans to introduce various content and events related to the new brand slogan. In addition, Dongwon will unveil a dedicated font for "The Responsible Answer," which intuitively expresses the structure of responding to society's questions (represented by a question mark) with Dongwon's answers (represented by an exclamation mark).


A Dongwon Group representative stated, "We plan to continue identifying the needs of the world ahead of anyone else, providing precise answers, and growing as a company that contributes to society."
