Training on Evacuation Guidelines for Residents
Sancheong County, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on the 19th that it had conducted a "Landslide Prevention and Response Officer Training" at the county government conference room.
This training, attended by 25 people including industrial economy officers from towns and villages as well as those in charge of landslide-related duties, focused on evacuation guidelines for residents in areas at risk of landslides.
The training also covered the organization of evacuation teams and the updating of resident contact information to facilitate proactive evacuation of residents in the event of a landslide warning.
An official from Sancheong County stated, "Because it is difficult to predict when a landslide will occur, proactive evacuation is crucial," and urged, "When heavy rains or typhoons occur, please pay close attention to disaster text messages or village broadcasts and actively evacuate as instructed."
