According to Yangju City on May 17, this program was designed for a total of 400 students from fourth grade in elementary school to third grade in middle school, with the aim of providing career exploration and admissions information through direct visits to major prestigious universities.

On this day, the second tour took place at the Myeongnyun Campus of Sungkyunkwan University, which boasts a 600-year tradition. Forty elementary and middle school students participated in the tour, where current Sungkyunkwan University student mentors guided them, introducing academic departments as well as sharing details about the admissions process and real aspects of university life. The program was evaluated as providing a practical opportunity for career exploration, going beyond a simple campus visit.

One participating student said, "By visiting a university I only knew by name and talking with mentors, I felt like I was one step closer to my dream."

Previously, on May 10, the first tour was held at Seoul National University. Senior elementary school students from Yangju toured the campus with Seoul National University student mentors, explored academic departments, received admissions information, and listened to vivid stories about university life. Participants commented that it was beneficial to freely converse with mentors and resolve their questions about future careers.

A Yangju City official stated, "We hope that through this campus tour, students will be able to concretize their dreams and design their own career paths," adding, "Yangju City will continue to provide generous support so that it can grow as an educational city."

Meanwhile, in the second half of the year, campus tours will continue, focusing on major universities in the Seoul metropolitan area, including a revisit to Seoul National University, as well as visits to Korea University and Yonsei University.

Applications for participation can be made through the 'Yangju Career and Academic Platform,' and the next schedule will be announced at a later date. For more details, please contact the Yangju Career and Academic Guidance Center.
