Trump Again Shows Resentment: "Swift Is No Longer Hot"

Criticism of Bruce Springsteen and Others on Social Media
Celebrities Who Supported Joe Biden in the Last Presidential Election

President Donald Trump of the United States recently criticized rock star Bruce Springsteen, who had publicly denounced him, as well as Taylor Swift, who supported the Democratic candidate in the last presidential election.

On the 16th (local time), President Trump posted on his Truth Social account, "Has anyone noticed that since I said 'I really dislike Taylor Swift,' she is no longer 'hot'?"

About 40 minutes later, he turned his attention to Bruce Springsteen, writing, "I saw that this extremely overrated guy went abroad just to speak badly about the President of the United States. I have never liked him, nor have I ever liked his music or his radical leftist politics. Above all, he has no talent and is just an arrogant and unpleasant fool."

He then referred to Springsteen's support for former President Joe Biden, stating, "Joe Biden is a mentally incompetent fool and the worst president in our nation's history, who has driven our country to the brink of ruin," lumping both together in his criticism.

President Trump continued, "Sleepy Joe had no idea what he was doing, but Springsteen is so dumb as a rock that he couldn't see what was happening, or, if he could, he ignored it (which is even worse!). This dried-up plum of a rocker should keep his mouth shut until he comes back to our country."

According to American and British media, Springsteen criticized President Trump on stage at a concert held in Manchester, UK, on the 14th. At the time, he said, "My beloved country, America, has been a beacon of hope and freedom for 250 years, but now it is in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration."

He continued, "They (the Trump administration) have abandoned our great allies and sided with dictators, withdrawn funding from American universities that refuse to yield to ideological demands, and are expelling residents from American streets without due legal process, deporting them to foreign detention centers and prisons."

In response, the White House issued an official statement. "The 77 million Americans who elected President Trump disagree with the out-of-touch celebrity elitism of people like Bruce Springsteen," the statement said, adding that Springsteen was "welcome to remain overseas."

In contrast, Taylor Swift has not made any public statements about President Trump since last year's presidential election. However, President Trump expressed his displeasure by mentioning Swift, another pop star who does not support him, while criticizing Springsteen.

In September last year, ahead of the presidential election, Swift publicly supported former Vice President Kamala Harris, who was President Trump's rival. After the televised debate between Vice President Harris and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, she wrote on Instagram, "I will be voting for Harris and Tim Walz in this year's election." Swift also encouraged first-time voters to exercise their precious right to vote. Subsequently, the Democratic Party put up digital campaign billboards featuring phrases taken from Swift's songs.

At the time, President Trump said, "I really dislike Taylor Swift," and added, "(Swift) will probably pay the price in the market," expressing his displeasure.

In February, when Swift attended the NFL Super Bowl to support her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, President Trump, who also watched the game in person, posted a message mocking the fact that Swift was booed by some members of the audience.
