Five professors from National Pukyong University (President Sanghoon Bae) received the Presidential Commendation and the Minister of Education Commendation for their contributions on the 44th Teachers' Day this year.

Professor Jung Seokkwon (Department of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering) received the Presidential Commendation, while Professors Derek John McGovern (Department of English Language and Literature), Son Dongjoo (Department of Japanese Language and Literature), Lee Hwanwoo (Department of Civil Engineering), and Kim Hyungseok (Department of Marine Production System Management) received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Commendation.
National Pukyong University held an award ceremony on the morning of May 16 in the reception room on the third floor of the university headquarters, where the commendations were presented to the recipients.
