On May 16, the Discharged Veterans Support Center of the Daegu Regional Veterans Affairs Office held a traveling consultation program titled 'Job-Cafe: Show Us Your Credentials' at Dongdaegu Station of Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation, targeting discharged veterans who served mid- to long-term.
This consultation was organized to support discharged veterans who face difficulties transitioning to civilian society after their military service, helping them achieve successful employment. The consultation provided practical career support services, including resume writing and coaching, tailored job application assistance, and individualized career counseling.
One discharged veteran who participated in the consultation shared, "I felt lost and anxious after leaving the military, but today's consultation helped me regain my sense of challenge. It was a great help in setting the direction for my future career."
The Discharged Veterans Support Center operates a variety of career transition support programs for veterans who served for five years or more, including employment and entrepreneurship workshops, specialized commissioned training, career transition allowances, and support for vocational competency development education expenses.
An official from the Daegu Regional Veterans Affairs Office stated, "We will continue to provide on-site, customized consultations and support to help discharged veterans achieve stable integration into society."
