Sunday Gradually Clears and Becomes Cool
Rain is expected to fall in Gwangju and Jeonnam until early Saturday morning, with clear weather continuing on Sunday.
During the weekend, Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to experience cloudy weather with rain continuing until early Saturday morning, followed by gradually clearing skies on Sunday.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, on Saturday, May 17, the region will be on the edge of a high-pressure system, resulting in rain until early morning and then remaining cloudy. Morning temperatures will range from 14 to 17 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperatures will range from 21 to 27 degrees Celsius, which is similar to or slightly higher than the seasonal average.
On the following day, May 18, under the influence of a high-pressure system moving eastward over the West Sea, the weather is expected to be mostly cloudy at first and then gradually clear from the morning. Morning temperatures are forecast to be between 10 and 14 degrees Celsius, and daytime temperatures between 20 and 24 degrees Celsius.
An official from the Meteorological Administration stated, "In areas where it rains, roads may become slippery and visibility may be reduced," and urged, "Please pay special attention to traffic safety by reducing speed and maintaining a safe distance when driving."
