The Korea Tourism Organization announced on May 16 that it will participate in the country's largest pet fair, "2025 MEGAZOO," held at KINTEX in Goyang from May 16 to 18, by presenting a promotional booth themed "Traveling with Pets."
Six local governments?Ulsan, Taean, Suncheon, Pocheon, Iksan, and Gyeongju?selected as pet-friendly tourism cities, will join the Korea Tourism Organization at the booth. Visitors will be able to access comprehensive information on pet-friendly travel, including local tourism programs, accommodations, tourist attractions, and hands-on activities. In addition, a variety of programs will be available, such as an OX quiz on pet-friendly tourist destinations and travel petiquette, as well as a follow event for the official Instagram account "Gyeonmunjapjisa."
Participants in these events will receive a range of souvenirs, including instant photo frames for pets, pet amenities, and welcome kits.
On-site, visitors can also sign up for "Dog, Dog! Do Dream for Travel," a program led by veterinary behavior specialist Seol Chaehyun. Scheduled for June 8 at Hykr Ground in Jung-gu, Seoul, this lecture is designed for pet owners and dogs who are anxious about unfamiliar environments and travel, providing helpful information on managing pet behavior.
Jo Yoonmi, head of the Tourism Content Strategy Team at the Korea Tourism Organization, stated, "We have prepared everything from travel preparation to travel information and travel petiquette so that traveling with pets can become a part of everyday life, not just a special occasion," adding, "We hope that through this event, more pet owners will be able to enjoy happy travels with their pets."
