GHMS is the largest high-end manufacturing forum in Asia, co-hosted by the Asia-Pacific CEO Association (APCEO) and the city of Changsha, China.

This year's event was held over three days from May 14 to May 16, bringing together more than 700 leaders from the high-end manufacturing industry, including representatives from Fortune Global 500 companies, key government officials, and global unicorn companies from over 60 countries around the world.

The Authority was the only government agency in Korea to be officially invited, opening up possibilities for investment cooperation through exchanges with global manufacturing leaders.

Commissioner Sungho Park participated in the panel discussion at the High End Manufacturing Global Matchmaking meetings, where he promoted the strengths of the Busanjin-Hae Economic Free Zone as a logistics hub in Northeast Asia and focused on opening a new chapter in advanced manufacturing cooperation between Korea and China.

At the event, the Authority promoted the 'BJFEZ Logistics Infrastructure and Advanced Industry Investment Attraction Project.' In particular, the 'industry-specific customized attraction strategies' being implemented in areas such as the Nammun, Mieum, and Jisa Foreign Investment Zones, the Seokeon and Ungdong Hinterland Complexes, and the Bobaebokhap District drew significant interest from participating companies.

During the Authority's 1:1 customized investment consultations at the event, Chinese companies specializing in advanced materials, transportation equipment, and AI-based smart manufacturing participated. Each company made specific inquiries about the investment incentives and location conditions of the Busanjin-Hae Economic Free Zone, actively exploring the potential for actual investment.

After the event, the Authority visited the KOTRA Trade Center in Changsha, China, to share information on local investment trends and promising companies with Director Jin-Young Yang. Even after the event, Commissioner Park took the lead in practical discussions to strengthen follow-up cooperation, further increasing the potential for tangible investment connections with Chinese companies.

Commissioner Sungho Park stated, "GHMS 2025 was a strategic platform for the Busanjin-Hae Economic Free Zone to communicate directly with global manufacturing leaders," and added, "As the global supply chain is undergoing a period of transformation, we will accurately read the current trends and act proactively."
