On May 17, Yonsei University announced the launch of a course titled "Digital Storytelling Practice" in partnership with Black Paper. Black Paper is a storytelling company specializing in managing content IP across various fields, including writers and directors, and has produced popular content with figures such as Byungjae Yoo and Jonathan.

The course was designed to move beyond theory-based education, enabling students to acquire strategies for content creation through collaboration with industry experts. The curriculum focuses on the social value of storytelling, critical thinking, creative expression, and digital content literacy.

Students engaged in activities such as creating storytelling content in webtoon format and planning, filming, and editing YouTube channels. Kim Hayoun, lead of Next Studio and head of Black Paper's creator group "IdeaboBusang," participated as a mentor, sharing principles of content planning and production know-how.

A Yonsei University representative stated, "This educational collaboration demonstrates that digital storytelling is emerging as a core competency not only in specific industries but across all creative fields," adding, "It is significant in that it presents the potential for new industry-academic cooperation models amid the rapid changes in the digital environment."
