Dong-A University Holds Outdoor Book Reading "Booknic" Under Spring Sunshine

"School Life Refresh" at Newton Park, Seunghak Campus

The Dong-A University Academic Information Center Library (Director: Lee Jeonggwan) announced on the 16th that it held an outdoor book reading event, "Booknic," for 180 current students at Newton Park on the Seunghak Campus on the 14th.

This event was organized as part of Dong-A University's University Innovation Support Project, aiming to provide a creative reading experience beyond traditional reading and to strengthen literacy and writing skills through the keeping of reading journals.

The event was held in two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. A total of 81 teams participated, enjoying a unique time reading books and having a picnic under the warm spring sunlight. The library provided participating students with books and picnic sets, as well as snacks, to enhance the atmosphere of the event.

Kim Jeonga (senior, Department of Food and Nutrition) and Lee Yubin (senior, Department of Chemical Engineering), who participated in the event, said, "We wanted to spend a romantic time lying on the campus lawn, and we are grateful to the library for organizing such a meaningful event," adding, "It was a special experience to relax and read books outdoors with friends."

Lee Jeonggwan, Director of the Dong-A University Academic Information Center, stated, "We will continue to plan a variety of reading programs so that students can embrace reading as an enjoyable part of their daily lives."
