Professor Jung Hwa Choi of Pukyong National University Appointed as Head of Fisheries TF under Presidential Committee on Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Policy

Professor Jung Hwa Choi of Pukyong National University (Institute of International Cooperation for Maritime and Fisheries Development) has been appointed as the head of the Fisheries Task Force (Fisheries TF) under the Presidential Committee on Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Policy.

The Fisheries TF, launched on May 14, was newly established to discuss sustainable development strategies for agriculture, fisheries, and rural areas, and to contribute to the advancement of these sectors and the improvement of the welfare of farmers and fishers.

The Fisheries TF will operate until the establishment of the Fisheries Subcommittee, with the aim of presenting directions for the sustainable development of the fisheries industry by gathering a wide range of opinions from the fisheries sector within the Presidential Committee on Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Policy.
