Since 2023, the city has been recognized as the top local government for fulfilling its promises to citizens, having received the SA grade for three consecutive years in the 'Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation.'

This evaluation was conducted by the Korea Manifesto Implementation Headquarters over a period of approximately 90 days from January to April, targeting 226 basic local governments nationwide. The assessment covered five areas: completion of pledges, achievement rate of 2024 pledge targets, communication with residents, web-based communication, and consistency with election pledges. The city received a comprehensive score exceeding 87 points, earning the highest SA grade.

To realize the vision of 'Leap Forward Namwon through Culture and Future Industries' under the 8th popularly elected administration, the city has completed 23 out of 41 pledge projects across six major sectors, with the remaining 18 projects progressing as planned.

The pledge completion rate stands at 78.05%, which is higher than the national average of 53.05%. The 2024 target achievement rate is 100%, surpassing the national average of 92.55%. The rate of securing necessary financial resources for pledge implementation is 51.72%, which is significantly higher than the national average of 43.11%, earning the city high praise.

The city has established regulations within the Namwon City Pledge Management and Operation Rules to ensure the democratic nature of the pledge implementation evaluation process. It is also focusing on transparent administration by operating a pledge implementation evaluation team and regularly disclosing the status of pledge implementation on the Namwon City website.

Mayor Choi Kyungsik stated, "Thanks to the active participation and cooperation of our citizens, we have received the highest grade in the pledge implementation evaluation for the eighth popularly elected administration for three consecutive years." He added, "I will do my utmost to fulfill the pledges, which are valuable promises made to our citizens."
