Schroders Investment Trust Management announced on the 16th that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Kiwoom Asset Management, focusing on the retail sector.
With this partnership, domestic investors will be able to invest in global funds managed by Schroders through Kiwoom Asset Management. Kiwoom will operate domestic public offering funds that invest in Schroder International Selection Funds and other offshore funds managed by Schroders.
These funds are feeder funds that incorporate Schroders’ global offshore funds as their underlying assets. Since Schroders Korea will continue to manage the offshore funds invested in by Schroders, there will be no fundamental changes to the investment approach or fund management.
The partnership aims to provide domestic investors with a wide range of investment opportunities and innovative investment solutions. Both companies emphasized that this collaboration creates a win-win structure by combining their respective strengths.
By organically combining Schroders’ global market capabilities and expertise in overseas investments with Kiwoom’s deep understanding and network in domestic investment, the partnership will offer even higher-quality investment opportunities to local investors. In the medium to long term, the companies will continue to collaborate to create synergies, with the possibility of cooperation in various fields remaining open.
Schroders is committed to providing domestic institutional investors with a diverse range of overseas investment solutions, including offshore active index and alternative investments, based on its long-standing expertise and know-how in global private asset management.
Jung Eunsoo, CEO of Schroders Korea, stated, “This partnership will combine Schroders’ expertise in overseas investments with Kiwoom’s domestic investment infrastructure to offer domestic investors a broad and high-quality range of investment opportunities. It marks the first step in our collaboration and an important foundation for generating long-term synergies between the two companies.”
Kim Kihyun, CEO of Kiwoom Asset Management, commented, “Kiwoom prioritizes providing customized investment solutions for our clients. We view this partnership very positively, as it allows us to introduce Schroders’ outstanding funds to domestic investors.”
