Expansion of Diverse Science and Maker Experience Opportunities Introduced This Year
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Creative Convergence Education Institute (Director Han Jonghwan) will operate the weekend maker experience program "Science Nuri Maker" at the Busan Science Experience Center every weekend until November, targeting young children and elementary school students.
This program is a new maker education initiative launched by the Busan Science Experience Center this year, designed to provide students with a variety of maker experience opportunities.
The program is conducted under the theme "Learning Science by Making," featuring hands-on activities based on the principles of basic science exhibits. Each month, seven different experience booths and self-guided activities are offered, allowing participants to imagine how science can be applied in everyday life and to realize those ideas in practice.
Han Jonghwan, Director of the Creative Convergence Education Institute, stated, "We will continue to develop participant-centered experiential content and operate maker experiences based on basic science theory, which will provide practical support for students' career exploration and the development of scientific literacy."
