Chungnam Province announced on the 16th that it will hold the 10th Chungnam Hometown Masil Festival at Sejong Lake Park in Sejong City until the 18th.

The Hometown Masil Festival is a flagship rural exchange event designed to allow people to vividly experience the unique atmosphere and culture of Chungnam’s rural areas within an urban setting.

This year’s festival will reinterpret the traditional charm of rural Chungnam from a modern perspective, offering a unique experience where tradition and modernity come together.

In addition, 60 out of the 130 rural experience and recreation villages in the province will participate, presenting rural experience programs, traditional culture, and distinctive local foods from each region.

The festival will also serve as a pre-promotional event for the “2025 Chungnam Visit Year,” introducing the province’s rural tourism resources and experience content to urban residents and encouraging visits to Chungnam.

Jeon Hyungsik, Vice Governor for Political Affairs, stated, “The Hometown Masil Festival is a venue for mutual growth created together by urban and rural communities,” adding, “We will continue to actively share the value and potential of Chungnam’s rural areas with citizens and expand the foundation for joint growth between urban and rural areas.”
