Samsung Electronics is launching its new 2025 fully automatic washing machine, the 'AI Tongbubble Washing Machine,' equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) features.
On May 16, Samsung Electronics announced that it has applied AI technology across its entire washing machine lineup, following the drum-type 'Bespoke AI Washing Machine,' with the introduction of the all-in-one washer-dryer 'Bespoke AI Combo' and the 'AI Tongbubble Washing Machine.'
The entire 2025 lineup of the 'AI Tongbubble Washing Machine' incorporates a variety of AI technologies that enhance washing performance, save energy, and reduce both noise and vibration.

First, the machine is equipped with the 'AI Customized Wash' feature, which uses AI to adjust the water level and rinse time to suit the weight and type of laundry, resulting in cleaner and more delicate washing. The AI Customized Wash function detects the weight of the laundry in 10 levels and adjusts the water level accordingly. It also recognizes three types of fabrics?delicate, towel, and normal?and adjusts the rinse time and intensity to allow for the washing of fabrics that require special care.
Additionally, the 'AI Vibration and Noise Reduction System' has been applied, which, based on the firmness of the floor detected by AI, reduces vibration by up to 33% according to the company's test results, enabling quieter operation.
The entire AI Tongbubble Washing Machine lineup supports Wi-Fi, allowing integration with SmartThings. By activating 'AI Energy Saving Mode' in SmartThings, users can reduce energy consumption by up to 20%.
Other features include 'AI Course Link,' which recommends an appropriate drying course based on the selected washing course, and the 'Download Course' function, which allows users to customize washing for seven different types of laundry, from jeans to baby clothes. The machine is also equipped with comprehensive washing features such as 'Bubble Waterfall,' which creates rich foam by thoroughly mixing water, detergent, and air, and uses a three-dimensional winged agitator to evenly distribute bubbles throughout the fabric.
In particular, according to verification by the international certification body Intertek and the company's own tests, the Bubble Waterfall feature reduces energy and water usage by 31% and 14%, respectively, and improves fabric care by 21%.
The AI Tongbubble Washing Machine is available in four colors: Black Caviar, Deep Charcoal, White, and Lavender Gray. Prices range from 640,000 won to 950,000 won, depending on color and specifications.
