Online Resident Vote for Best Practices Open Until the 23rd
Eunpyeong-gu in Seoul will conduct a resident vote on best practices in active administration as experienced by residents. The initiative aims to foster a culture where residents directly participate in evaluating the achievements of public officials in active administration and support high-performing civil servants.
To establish a proactive public service culture, the district selects outstanding active administration officials every year in both the first and second halves. Resident voting is incorporated into the evaluation process to realize performance-oriented administration that residents can truly experience.
The resident vote will be held until May 23, targeting five cases of active administration that have passed the Active Administration Recommendation Committee. The evaluation criteria include proactivity and resident impact, creativity and expertise, potential for wider adoption, and excellence of results. Residents can participate in the vote either through a banner on the Eunpyeong-gu Office website or by scanning the QR code included in the promotional image.
Eunpyeong-gu plans to combine the results of this resident vote with scores from the Active Administration Best Practice Presentation Contest to select the outstanding active administration officials for the first half of the year by next month. Civil servants selected for best practices will receive various and exceptional personnel incentives, such as special promotions and the highest grade in performance bonuses.
Kim Mikyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, "We ask for your interest and participation to select active administration cases that residents can relate to and experience," adding, "We will continue to actively reflect residents' voices in administration and create a public service sector that leads change and innovation."
