Gyeonggi Province and Korail Distribution to Hold Senior Product Sales Event at Suwon Station from May 16 to 25

Gyeonggi Province will hold a senior citizen product sales event.


Gyeonggi Province announced that, in partnership with Korail Distribution, it will sell items such as sesame oil, nurungji (crispy rice), rice snacks, crafts, and natural soaps produced by 10 community business groups from 5 senior job placement agencies in the province. The event will take place on the second floor of Suwon Station from May 16 to 25, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The items sold by each agency are as follows: Gimpo Senior Club will offer Gimpo Original Grandma Sesame Oil, perilla oil, Geumssal nurungji, and Ugly Yugwa; Suwon Senior Club will provide Gosome donuts, puffed rice snacks, and succulent plant pots and diffusers; Siheung Senior Club will sell crafts such as aprons, handkerchiefs, and pouches; Ansan Senior Club will offer brown rice and barley nurungji, gangjeong, and dried persimmons; Anyang Senior Club will provide various natural soaps.


Gyeonggi Province was able to hold this event by receiving support for a sales space inside Suwon Station through collaboration with the Korail Distribution Gyeonggi Regional Headquarters.


Lee Eunsuk, Director of Senior Welfare at Gyeonggi Province, said, "We are pleased to open an opportunity to promote the excellence of senior-produced goods and the senior job placement program to many residents," and added, "Going forward, we will continue to raise awareness of the value of senior job programs and expand sales channels for senior-produced goods through close cooperation with public institutions, thereby changing public perception and creating more opportunities for seniors to demonstrate their abilities."
