Park Wansu, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, has once again improved his score in job performance evaluations, continuing the upward trend in resident satisfaction.
On May 15, polling agency Realmeter announced the results of its April 2025 regular job performance evaluation of metropolitan government heads.
Among the 16 metropolitan government heads nationwide, excluding the vacant position of Daegu Mayor, Governor Park ranked fourth overall, rising one position from fifth place the previous month.
The positive evaluation rate also increased by 0.1 percentage points from the previous month, reaching 48.4%.
In the party index relative score category, he received 107.9 points, ranking third nationwide.
The party index relative score indicates the extent to which a local government head receives support compared to their own party's supporters; a score of 100 or higher means they receive more support than their party's base.
In the resident life satisfaction survey, he also received a positive evaluation of 62.1%, which is higher than the national average of 60.8%.
This survey was conducted using a random digit dialing (RDD) automated response method, targeting 13,600 people aged 18 or older nationwide (800 people per metropolitan area) between March 28 and 31 and April 27 and 30.
The margin of error is 0.8 percentage points at a 95% confidence level nationwide, and ±3.5 percentage points per metropolitan area.
