Dong-Eui University Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center Signs Agreement with Korean Canadian Scientists and Engineers Association

Research in Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing
Strengthening Technology Exchange and International Cooperation Expected

The Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center at Dong-Eui University (Director Seokchan Jung) signed a memorandum of understanding on May 13 at the Dong-Eui University Industry-Academia Cooperation Building with the Korean Canadian Scientists and Engineers Association (AKCSE, President Hyojik Choi) to promote research, technology exchange, and international cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

The signing ceremony was attended by Seokchan Jung, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center, Hyojik Choi, President of the Korean Canadian Scientists and Engineers Association, and Jingun Jung, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Software Department of Busan Metropolitan City, as well as other representatives from each organization.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will cooperate in the following areas: joint research and technology exchange in AI-based industrial automation and quantum computing; fostering AI and industrial automation technologies in the manufacturing sector; building networks and ecosystems to support the dissemination of AI and quantum computing; and developing and educating talent in AI and quantum computing.

Director Seokchan Jung stated, "This agreement is expected to contribute to strengthening the scientific and technological competitiveness of both countries, in line with Busan's strategy to become a global artificial intelligence hub city," adding, "As the Busan Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center, we will further strengthen the local AI ecosystem by expanding international networks among industry, academia, and research institutions."

The Artificial Intelligence Grand ICT Research Center at Dong-Eui University is being operated with support from the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) through the Regional Intelligence Innovation Talent Development Project.
