Supporting a Safe Summer for Seniors and Heatwave-Vulnerable Residents Nationwide
Comfortable Rest Areas and Refreshing Bottled Water Provided at Branch Lobbies
Hana Bank announced on May 15 that it will operate "Heatwave Shelters" at its branches nationwide, allowing local residents across the country to stay cool and safe during the summer heat.
With severe heatwaves expected again this summer, the bank has decided to open the "Heatwave Shelters" one month earlier than last year. Elderly individuals and residents vulnerable to heatwaves can seek refuge from the heat and heavy rain at Hana Bank branches nationwide.
The "Heatwave Shelters" will be available at all Hana Bank branches until September 30, operating during regular banking hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone in the country can use the shelters freely, and bottled water will be provided free of charge.
A Hana Bank representative stated, "We hope the Heatwave Shelters will provide a place for people to rest and escape from the summer heat and heavy rain, even if only for a short while," adding, "We will do our best to ensure everyone in the community has a safe summer."
Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group has been carrying out genuine ESG activities by supporting disaster relief efforts in areas affected by wildfires and heavy rainfall. This includes providing donations and delivering relief supplies to disaster victims, as part of its commitment to coexistence with local communities facing unexpected hardships.
