Andar Achieves 46.7 Billion KRW in Q1 Sales, Up 34% Year-on-Year

According to Andar on May 15, operating profit for the first quarter was 2.1 billion KRW, showing a slight decrease from 2.2 billion KRW in the previous year. The company attributed this to increased cost pressures resulting from the high exchange rate.

The company analyzed that expanding its new product lineup across various categories, such as running and golf, played a key role in driving sales growth. Andar explained that, amid the global running trend, related products like running leggings gained significant popularity. In addition, golf wear and business athleisure wear suitable for everyday use, as well as underwear, received positive responses from consumers.

Looking ahead, Andar plans to expand internationally, focusing on high-income countries. The company has established its own global online store by building logistics infrastructure in Australia and is preparing to open an offline store in Westfield Sydney. In the United States, Andar has set up a subsidiary and is preparing to launch an online store in the U.S. market during the second quarter.

Andar CEO Kong Seonga stated, "Despite various challenges such as the economic downturn and high exchange rates in the first quarter of this year, our efforts to strengthen product competitiveness have led to increased consumer demand," adding, "We will continue to reward our customers with ever-evolving, high-quality products as Korea's leading athleisure company."
