Apple Thinning and Environmental Cleanup Activities with Nonghyup Employees and Others

On May 15, Chungnam Development Corporation and Chungnam Sejong Nonghyup visited an orchard in Buyeo-gun to assist with farm labor.

According to the corporation on May 15, around 70 people, including employees of Nonghyup and members of local volunteer organizations, participated in thinning apples and environmental cleanup activities.

This volunteer activity was organized to support farms suffering from labor shortages during the peak farming season and to help improve the quality of fruit crops.

President Kim Byunggeun stated, "We wanted to provide even a small amount of help, as farms are facing difficulties due to labor shortages during their busiest season," adding, "We will continue to carry out various sharing activities that promote mutual growth between urban and rural communities."

Meanwhile, since the beginning of this month, Chungnam Development Corporation has actively engaged in social contribution activities for the local community, including sponsoring a joint wedding ceremony for about 30 couples with disabilities in the province and supporting volunteer organizations.
