Kibo and Incheon Intellectual Property Center Join Hands to Promote Intellectual Property Mutual Aid Program

Providing Mutual Aid Consulting Support for Companies in Incheon

The Kibo Intellectual Property Mutual Aid Center announced on May 14 that it had signed a "Business Agreement for Joint Development through the Promotion of the Intellectual Property Mutual Aid Program" with the Incheon Intellectual Property Center.

This agreement was established to build a close cooperative framework between the two organizations for the activation of the Intellectual Property Mutual Aid Program. It also aims to enhance awareness of intellectual property and strengthen technological competitiveness by expanding enrollment in the program among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Incheon region.

Under the agreement, Kibo will hold information sessions on the Intellectual Property Mutual Aid Program and provide consulting support for companies in the Incheon area. The Incheon Intellectual Property Center will cooperate in expanding the local base of the program through customized promotional activities utilizing its regional network. Both organizations plan to strengthen the intellectual property creation capabilities of small and venture businesses and contribute to the development of the local economy.

Meanwhile, the Intellectual Property Mutual Aid Program is a financial system designed to reduce the intellectual property costs and dispute risks of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as to support their overseas expansion. Kibo, in cooperation with the Korean Intellectual Property Office, first introduced the program in Korea in 2019. Kibo creates a fund from the contributions paid by SMEs enrolled in the program, and provides financial support for costs arising from intellectual property disputes or domestic and international applications, thereby helping participating companies achieve stable growth.
