On May 13, the Busan Veterans Affairs Office hosted the 'ModuAe Veterans Meal' event at the Busan Briquette Bank, serving heartfelt meals to those who have dedicated themselves to the nation.
This event was attended by Chief Lee Namil, Kang Jeongchil, the head of the Busan Briquette Bank, and volunteers, who provided nutritious meals to about 50 veterans' family members. As they shared these warm meals, they also shared the sentiment that "veterans affairs is gratitude itself."
The 'ModuAe Veterans Meal' is a locally specialized program held every Tuesday with the support of BNK Busan Bank and the Busan Briquette Bank. It provides meals and checks in on elderly and solitary veterans' families, with the Women's Association of the Busan Seo-gu Veterans Association also consistently participating as volunteers.
An official from the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office stated, "The participation of private organizations is a great support in delivering care and love to ensure that veterans' families are not socially isolated," and added, "We will continue to work actively with the local community to realize 'veterans affairs for all' and to spread a living culture of respect for veterans in daily life."
