Collaboration with Asiana IDT to Develop a Personalized Flight Trend Analysis System for Flight Crew Members
Real-Time Provision of Flight Data Analysis and Trend Statistics to Flight Crew Members
Air Busan has become the first among domestic low-cost carriers (LCCs) to introduce the 'BX Flight Review Assistance System (BFRAS),' a system that analyzes each flight crew member's flight data in real time, as part of efforts to enhance operational safety.
On May 14, Air Busan announced that it had completed the development of the BFRAS, an advanced version of the Flight Operational Quality Assurance (FOQA) system, in collaboration with Asiana IDT, and that it officially began operating the system on May 7.
BFRAS is a system that automatically analyzes and provides various types of information, including individual crew members' flight tendencies, flight-related statistical data, and analysis of anomalies and events, based on flight data linked to the FOQA system. Flight crew members can check their own flight data immediately after completing a flight and receive instant feedback, enabling self-directed learning.
In particular, by utilizing deep learning-based analysis technology, the system precisely detects various events that occur during flights and provides personalized flight videos, allowing crew members to visually identify their operational habits. This feature is expected to contribute to accident prevention by enabling early identification of abnormal patterns.
An Air Busan official stated, "With the introduction of BFRAS, we are now able to predict and analyze potential incomplete factors that may occur during flight in advance," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide the highest level of operational quality to our customers through proactive safety management."
Based on BFRAS, Air Busan plans to further strengthen its data-driven safety management system and enhance operational efficiency in the future.
