8-Week Training Course Runs Until July 1
Gangnam-gu in Seoul (District Mayor Cho Sungmyung) will operate a "Reconstruction Maintenance Project Expert Training Course" for association executives every Tuesday evening from May 13 to July 1, in order to enhance the public interest and transparency of reconstruction maintenance projects.

This training is distinguished from general resident-oriented education in that it is a specialized program designed for association executives who are responsible for practical operations.
The course consists of 16 lectures (24 hours) over a total of 8 weeks and will be held in a group lecture format at the underground training center of the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center. Forty executives, selected in advance through applications from each association, will participate. The lectures will take place every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The curriculum covers not only a comprehensive understanding of the reconstruction system but also practical, field-oriented education that can be immediately applied in the industry. Major topics include the roles and responsibilities of association executives, selection of contractors and contract management, architectural review and project implementation approval, appraisal and response to the price ceiling system, establishment of management and disposal plans and project financing, legal dispute response, and key considerations for association management.
In particular, the faculty will consist of private-sector experts representing each field of maintenance projects, including appraisers, lawyers, architects, and specialists in construction and urban planning, thereby enhancing the professionalism and effectiveness of the course. Gangnam-gu plans to offer a second session of the "Maintenance Project Expert Training Course" in September to October of this year, and applications will be accepted through a separate announcement at a later date.
Additionally, the "Maintenance Project Academy," an educational program aimed at helping general residents understand maintenance projects, is held quarterly, four times a year. The second lecture of this year will take place on July 10 on the second floor of the Gangnam-gu Community Center.
Cho Sungmyung, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, stated, "Because maintenance projects are directly linked to residents' property rights, the professionalism and sense of responsibility of the association executives leading these projects are more important than anything else." He added, "Through this practical expert training course, we will enhance the credibility of maintenance projects and ensure fairness and transparency in the operation of associations."
