Imsil County to Support Emergency Patient Transportation Expenses for Vulnerable Groups...Up to 150,000 Won

Until the Budget Runs Out...
Reducing the Burden of Medical Expenses

Imsil County in North Jeolla Province is implementing the "2025 Support Project for Emergency Patient Transportation Expenses for Vulnerable Groups."

According to the county on May 13, this support project has been established to improve medical accessibility for residents in areas with insufficient emergency medical services and to reduce their financial burden.

The project provides financial support for emergency vehicle transportation expenses for emergency patients who are registered residents of the county and fall into one of the following categories: children and adolescents (aged 0 to 18), seniors (aged 65 and above), recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security Program, or those in the second-lowest income bracket. Support is available when these patients need to be transported to medical institutions outside the county, and will continue until the allocated budget is exhausted.

Up to 150,000 won per case will be provided. Applicants can receive support by submitting the required documents to the Imsil County Public Health Center within one year from the date of transportation.

Kim Daegon, Director of the Public Health Center, stated, "Given the significant imbalance in emergency medical institutions between regions, I hope that this emergency patient transportation expense support project will help reduce the medical expenses burden for Imsil residents and enable them to receive prompt and appropriate treatment."
