Eighteen Groups Join Forces for Regional Economic Response
Gathering Voices from the Field to Propose Effective Policies
The Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs held the launch ceremony for the "Revitalizing Our Local Economy, Policy Platform" on the 13th at the Kim Daejung Convention Center. Eighteen associations and organizations of small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions participated in the event.
The "Policy Platform" was established with the aim of uniting the Gwangju and Jeonnam business communities to speak with one voice for local SMEs and small business owners, and to boost economic vitality in the region.

The event was attended by Lim Kyungjun, president of the regional headquarters, as well as Park Byungcheol, president of the Gwangju Metropolitan City branch of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, Kang Sungjin, president of the Jeollanam-do branch of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, Jeon Sangcheol, president of the Gwangju-Jeonnam branch of the Korea Mechanical Equipment Construction Association, and the heads of 12 other associations and organizations.
Lim Kyungjun stated, "Although we strive to convey voices from the field, it is difficult to expect effective results from isolated voices in each sector. Through the Policy Platform, I hope we can unite as one voice so that local SMEs and small business owners can enhance their competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth."
The attendees expressed their hopes that "the Policy Platform will serve as a foundation for SMEs and small business owners to receive policy support," and added, "We hope it will become an important stepping stone for the development of the regional economy."
