Governor Kim Youngrok Urges Participation in Presidential Election Voting

Strengthening Communication with Ministries to Secure National Funding Also Emphasized

On the 13th, Jeollanam-do Governor Kim Youngrok stated, "To achieve the true Republic of Korea that the people aspire to, I strongly encourage active participation in the presidential election voting, and call for strengthened communication with central government ministries such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance to secure national funding."

Governor Kim, during a policy meeting with department heads held at the Seo Jaephil Room in the provincial office on the same day, emphasized, "We must overcome the national turmoil and emergency situation that began in December of last year, restore the economy, and move toward a new and genuine Republic of Korea." He added, "Please work closely with the Jeonnam Election Commission and make every effort to promote voter participation among the residents of Jeollanam-do in the presidential election."

He further stated, "Since each department submits budget requests to the Ministry of Economy and Finance by the end of May, now is the optimal time to secure national funding. At this stage, I feel that the decision-making authority may lie with directors and division heads at the central ministries. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen efforts to secure national funding, focusing on these key officials."

He added, "The new administration should provide an opportunity for Jeonnam's budget to be substantially reflected. All staff, from deputy directors to division heads and directors in every department, must take direct responsibility for current issues and strive to ensure that active submissions are made to the Ministry of Economy and Finance at the ministry level."
