Gyeonggi Residents Excel in Non-Smoking, Moderate Drinking, and Walking... "Health Lifestyle Practice Rate" Hits Record High

Last year, the "health lifestyle practice rate" among Gyeonggi Province residents reached an all-time high.

The health lifestyle practice rate refers to the proportion of residents who practice all three: non-smoking, moderate drinking, and regular walking.

According to the results of the "2024 Community Health Survey," conducted by Gyeonggi Province through 48 public health centers from May to July last year, targeting 43,636 residents aged 19 and older in 31 cities and counties, the health lifestyle practice rate was recorded at 40.7%. This figure is 4.5 percentage points higher than the national average of 36.2% and is the highest since the community health survey began in 2008.
